Post One Nest is a private home automation project used by a single household. The only Google account that ever connects to it belongs to the owner of that household.
With the owner's permission, granted through Google's Device Access program, the project reads the state of the household's own Google Nest devices (for example temperature, humidity, thermostat mode and camera availability) and sends commands to them (for example a thermostat setpoint).
The data is used only on a computer inside the owner's home, only to run the home's own automation. It is not sold, not shared with any third party, not used for advertising, and not transferred anywhere outside the household.
The access credentials issued by Google are stored on that one computer, readable only by the owner. Short operating logs may record device readings such as a temperature. No data about anyone outside the household is collected.
The owner can remove the project's access at any time from the Google Account permissions page, or from Google's Partner Connections manager. Removing access stops all reading and control immediately.
This project has no public users. Questions can be sent to the project owner through the contact address shown on the Google consent screen.
